Tweeting Cobra

A "Missing Person" sign that someone made for the cobra.
So it turns out that the cobra that had escaped from the Bronx Zoo about a week ago was finally found and was safely returned back to its cage. It reportedly took a lot of patience in order to return it back to its cage without getting anyone hurt. Zookeepers didn't really expect for the cobra to hurt someone (which it didn't), but they also didn't expect anyone to make a Twitter account for the missing cobra either. The cobra "official" Twitter account was made shortly after news of its escape was found out, and apparently quickly got 200,000 followers. One of its tweets read, "If you see a bag of peanuts inexplicably moving along the ground at Yankee Stadium today, just ignore it. It's probably nothing." While it is nice to hear that the cobra is safely back in its cage, I think it's pretty funny that someone took the time to make a Twitter account for it and updated it.

More information on the story can be found here, and in case anyone actually wants to follow the cobra, its Twitter account is @BronxZoosCobra. I don't know if it still makes tweets though.
